Can-Oat has recently run plant
scale testing on Souris and added Souris to their 2009 recommended variety
list. Quaker requires two years of independent testing - in the first year
Souris has done very well.
We have grown Souris on our farm
the last two years and we really noticed how nice and even Souris comes in.
Souris was the best crop of oats we've ever harvested in 2008, but it was
really a good year for all varieties. Although Souris stood really well for
us, I always hesitate to talk about lodging.
Best of Luck in 2008!
J.S.
